EU Funds and International Financing for Businesses
The course provides a practical understanding of how EU funds and other international funding sources operate. Funding brings not only additional resources but also competition, co-financing requirements, partnerships, cash-flow obligations, and long-term commitments. Companies must be able to assess whether a particular opportunity aligns with their strategy and capacity.
Topics covered:
- How does the funding system for EU funds and international programmes work?
- What opportunities are available to companies applying individually or as part of an international consortium?
- What are the differences between grants, public procurement, financial instruments, and state aid?
- How can a company determine whether a funding call is genuinely suitable, and what do evaluators expect?
- What co-financing, cash-flow, documentation, and implementation risks should a company anticipate?
Participant outcomes: The ability to assess funding opportunities systematically, identify the main financial and administrative risks, and make an informed decision on whether to apply, establish a partnership, or decline a particular opportunity.
