About us

In 2023, Martins Vargulis (PhD cand.) and Martins Daugulis (Phd.), both distinguished political scientists, founded PowerHouse Latvia with a mission to bridge the gap between politics and strategic decision-making in the business and investment sectors.

Drawing on their extensive expertise — Mr. Daugulis as a social anthropologist and political scientist and Mr. Vargulis as an international security expert with experience in various international organizations — they created analytics and advocacy group that offers unique insights into the impact of political and social dynamics on business outcomes.

PowerHouse Latvia was born out of a shared vision to apply rigorous (geo)political analysis to real-world challenges. While our focus remains on Latvia, we are also equipped to provide nuanced understanding in broader contexts of Baltic region. Our strength lies in our ability to analyze complex political and social landscapes and translate these insights into actionable strategies for business necessities.
